The Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Administration prepares students to enter the world of hospitality as leaders and managers with a strategic approach to business. It combines management theory with hands-on hospitality courses, professional internships and a business specialization.

Preparation for the Industry

  • Emphasis on practical applications of theoretical lessons through trainings, laboratory work and hands-on workshops and projects
  • Exposure to the students in the four core areas of Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office and Accommodation Operations
  • Management subjects included in the curriculum to prepare students to be future leaders and managers.
  • Enhancing communications skills throughout the duration of program through language labs and in-class discussions and presentations.

Real World Experience:

Industrial Training of 20-22 weeks in the 4th Semester in various Star category hotels.

    Students who complete our Bachelors program typically find jobs in various positions in 5 star hotels, restaurant chains, cruise liners. You can aim to be a management trainee, customer relations executive, marketing/sales executive, kitchen manager, housekeeping manager and catering officer or chef

    Career options in hospitality are not limited to traditional hotel and restaurant businesses. Hospitality graduates are highly valued in service sectors such as tourism, retail, finance, healthcare and technology where customers and employers quality service and experience.
  • What is the typical salary level?

    Income mostly depends upon the candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience. IIAS students typically earn between Rs 20,000 - Rs 30,000 per month. Hospitality management students working in internationally earn around 50,000 and above per month.

  • Where do students do their internships?

    Students who undergo the Bachelors degree program at IIAS undergo internships after their 3rd semester in 5-star properties across India. The Career Services team assists the students in finding the right opportunities right after completion of their Year 1.

    Students are free to choose the place and period of time in which they complete the internship. Students inform the appropriate department before doing the internship, and after completion, submit confirmation from the employer and a report about the work performed. Internships are mandatory and awarded the appropriate number of credits as per the university curriculum.
