Mr.Abhijit De did his M.Sc.in Applied Physics from BIT, Ranchi and Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship Management from Sydenham College, Mumbai.Travelled extensively in USA, Europe and Asian countries to attend international conferences and establishing academic collaborations.
He is a Paul Harris fellow of Rotary International and was also adjudged “Education Entrepreneur of the Year” – 2011. He has been featured in Education Evangelist of India by Forbes India and Great Place to Study.
With more than 35 years of experience in industry, educational entrepreneurship and management. His vision is the driving force of IIAS Education Group.

Before retiring from Government of West Bengal Service in 2016 has joint secretary, Mr. Debraj Banerjee played a key role for long 14 years in various spheres of Secretariat administration in Higher Education Department.

A Medical Doctor by profession, Dr. Ray is a seasoned administrator at some of largest hospitals in Eastern India and has a multi-faceted personality.
He is currently Board member of Calcutta Club.
In his free time, Dr. Ray dabs in acting, media anchoring and various social activities through Prajaak NGO, where he is a Governing Body member.

Mr Ravindra Kumar Jain is a renowned entrepreneur, social activist and philanthropist of North Bengal. For his professional achievements and social initiatives, he has received numerous awards like ‘The Icon of North Bnegal’ from the Honourable Governors of West Bengal & Sikkim, ‘The Life Time Achievement Award’, ‘North Bengal Star Award’, etc. He is a very active member of the Rotary Club, Lions Club and other social organisations.
Principal of IIAS School of Management
Dr. Angshuman Chatterjee started working in the hospitality industry in 1983. After working in the industry, in managerial position, for five years, he taught at IHM for 21 years. He has since served some of the leading institutions in the country as Principal/Director/CEO.
Dr. Chatterjee is a highly respected trainer for trainers in the country. He is one among a small group of trainers with the Department of Personnel & Training, Govt. of India.
He is the recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award for successfully serving the Hospitality Industry for more than three decades, awarded by Association of Hospitality Professionals’ Welfare – India in 2019.

Head – Academic Administration
A hospitality management professional by training, with 23 years of impeccable track record in various challenging capacities in the domain of Hospitality Management in India and abroad. He imparts his passion and expertise in the capacity of Head – Academic Administration. He heralds enrichment and path-breaking curricular and technical initiatives to the pedagogy and is instrumental in providing strategic direction to the institution’s academic pursuits.
Associate Professor – Head-Institutional Development
Pinaki Bhattacharya started his career as a Management Trainee in 1992 in The Park group and was an integral member of their brand-building team. Being a seasoned service sector professional, he has spent more than a decade in the hospitality industry and almost 15 years in the banking and insurance sector shouldering managerial responsibilities. He did his PGDBM (MBA) from IISWBM Kolkata and has a Master’s degree in Tourism. He shifted to academics in 2018 to share his experience and expertise with the new generation and mentor them. Since then he has taught in premiere institutes and universities in India and abroad. His books and articles are enjoyed by one and all in this part of the globe.

A management graduate from IIT, Dhanbad and a published author, with over 22 years of professional experience across both the service sector and the manufacturing sector, Sudip is passionately self-driven to deliver growth, consistently demonstrating a strong focus on driving organisational objectives, fostering strategic partnerships and augmenting organisational outcomes.
As the Head of Corporate & Alumni Relations, Sudip is instrumental in establishing a relationship between the institution and the corporate world, creating meaningful connections and enriching the student experience. He works towards contributing significantly to the growth and success of the institution’s outreach efforts, so that both students and alumni benefit from the opportunities.
Associate Professor & Head of Institutional Compliance and Research
Dr Urbi Ghosh Bhattacharjee is an Associate Professor & Head of Institutional Compliance and Research at IIAS School of Management, Siliguri Campus. She is a distinguished educator and the first PhD holder in mass communication and journalism from the entire North Bengal region of West Bengal. With over 12 years of experience in the field of Mass Communication and Journalism, she has earned a reputation as a leading academic in the discipline. Dr. Bhattacharjee has contributed extensively to national and international fora, having presented at more than 20 conferences, seminars, and workshops.
She brings valuable experience from both college- and university-level teaching. She is deeply committed to nurturing and guiding students through their academic and research endeavours. An avid writer and skilled communicator, Dr. Bhattacharjee has developed a keen ability to impart complex knowledge to her students and peers. Her research interests and leadership in academia continue to inspire and shape the future of education.
Asst. Registrar
An integral member of the IIAS family since 1996, he brings with him more than 20 years experience in Finance Management, Operations Management and Legal Administration. He has completed the Master in Commerce from Calcutta University and also holds a MBA in Hospitality Management.

Dr Sweta Patnaik is a motivating and talented HR professor driven to inspire students to pursue academic and personal excellence. Consistently strive to create a challenging and engaging learning environment in which students become lifelong scholars and learner. She is a MBA, MPhil and Phd in International HRM, is a graduate mentor, innovative thinker, personable, approachable and inspiring teacher with more than 15 years of experience.

Dr. Priyanka Debnath is an accomplished academic with a strong background in commerce and management. With over five years of teaching experience, Dr. Debnath has served as an Assistant Professor at esteemed institutions . Her professional focus is on creating an inclusive learning environment that integrates advanced technologies, interdisciplinary projects, and real-world applications to foster creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning

Ms. Dona Ghosh is a distinguished academic achiever, having qualified UGC NET in Commerce on her first attempt in 2024 and securing the University Silver Medal in M.Com. from the University of North Bengal (NBU) in the same year. With a specialisation in Finance and Accounting, she has actively contributed to the academic community by presenting research papers at international conferences and publishing in reputed peer-reviewed and indexed journals. A passionate research enthusiast, she is deeply engaged in exploring innovative insight in the fields of finance, accountancy, auditing and taxation.

Mr. Dibyendu Biswas is not just tech-savvy but also a skilled teacher who has spent more than ten years as a lecturer in Programming Languages. He has also contributed to multiple projects that had to do with innovation in technology.

Chef Mukesh Kumar has 21 years of industrial and teaching experience in hospitality and tourism management. Holding an MBA in Hospitality and Tourism Management, he has served in esteemed institutions such as the Culinary Academy of India Hyderabad and Amity University Jaipur. With a wealth of knowledge and a passion for mentoring, he has made significant contributions towards shaping future industry professionals

Soumajit Agasti completed BSC in hospitality and tourism management from IIAS Kolkata under Madurai Kamraj University . He had worked with Taj Groups of hotels, Redission Blu, and Marriott International. He was working in Food production Department also the Alumni of IIAS kolkata

Joyjit Ghosh is a dedicated, sincere, and hardworking hospitality professional with around 26 years of rich industrial exposure in hospitality operations, training and development in facility management, and academia.

Raj is one of the most dynamic faculty here at IIAS. Having worked in the hospitality sector for more than 12 years, he is a perfect amalgam of the theoretical and in-hand teaching processes. He has worked both in India and abroad, and have worked with different organisations at various levels.
Apart from a Bachelor of Arts degree, he also has a certificate on Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management and presently pursuing MBA in Hotel and Tourism Management. He is also a certified trainer in hospitality and has worked in the skill development of students for the past 2 years.
Instructor, Rooms Division
Ms.Nima Sherpa is a Hospitality Management Graduate from IIAS in 2009. She has more than ten years’ experience in the industry where she served some of the best brands like Oberoi, Hyatt and Taj. She joined academics in the year 2019. She was associated with IIHM, Jaipur as a member of faculty for four and a half years. Ms. Nima is currently working with IIAS School of Management as an Instructor, Rooms Division.
Patissier Chef
Chef Smritikana Halder has a background in hotel management and tourism, having completed her Bachelor’s degree from DSM School of Management. She began her career in Food Production at Courtyard by Marriott, Bilaspur. In her free time, she enjoys painting and dancing. Currently, Chef Halder serves as a Chef Patissier at IIAS School of Management.
Manager – Accounts
An Accountant Professional, with 21 years of experience of ledger processes, Internal Audit, reconciliations and streamlining reports.
He looks after account management and finalize books of accounts and also records of all Students fees related matters. Finance coordination, Payment release and Preparation of financial documents. Preparing Budget, Perform process analysis, and communicated recommendations to management. Also coordinate with local authority of MAKAUT

A dynamic IT Professional with more than 20 years of experience in Project Management, LMS, Android Apps, Infrastructure, Network and System Management, Operations and CRM in various service sectors mainly in IT & Education in U.K. and India.
Librarian
A Bachelors in Arts and also Masters in Library and Information Science. He has over a decade experience as a Librarian. He has provided opportunity to students to expose themselves to gather information so as to meet their learning objectives.
Motion Graphic Designer
Ms. Esha Nag is a creative and organised motion graphic designer, with a strong work ethic . Ms. Nag completed her motion graphic design course from Arena Animation. She also takes active interest in painting, dancing and travelling.
Admissions Counsellor
Srabanti Majumder holds a Master degree in Sociology from North Bengal University. With two years of counselling experience, she is currently employed as an Admissions Counsellor at the IIAS School of Management. Srabanti is an excellent communicator and a natural motivator, skilled at persuading others.
Admissions Officer
Ayan Garai has over 7 years of experience as a senior marketing executive in several well-known college counselling companies. He has a proven track record of successfully recruiting, interviewing, and selecting top-tier students and faculty members. He is Adept at managing caseloads, planning open house events and helping students navigate admissions requirements. He has successfully executed multiple integrated campaigns within the domestic market and achieved a 35% increase in enrollment numbers between FY21 and FY23.
He recently joined the IIAS School of Management as an Admissions Officer, where he is responsible for managing student admissions from various districts.

With a postgraduate degree in Mass Communication, she has gained experience in counselling and education, engaging with young minds to foster learning and development. Arastu Rai is dedicated to building a long-term career and is passionate about using her extroverted and dynamic approach to mentor and guide students with her knowledge, experience, and skills. Ms. Rashmi Tamang is an M.A. in English. She worked in the Hospitality sector in the UAE for a year and also has a teaching experience of 4 years. Currently she is working at IIAS School of Management as a Telecaller & Counsellor.
