How to Reach Kolkata

 

BY AIR:

Kolkata is well connected and easily accessible from any corner of India as well as abroad. The renovated NetajiSubhash Chandra Bose International airport has daily flights by major airlines such as Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways etc.

 

BY RAIL:

Howrah, Sealdah and Kolkata are the three terminating railways stations in the city that are well connected to all parts of India by superfast trains like Rajdhani, Duronto and Shatabdi express. The city also has an extensive local train system that connects it to nearby towns of West Bengal and the country's oldest metro rail system.

 

BY ROAD:

Kolkata is again well connected by bus to all neighboring towns and cities of West Bengal, neighboring states and also Bangladesh.

 

White sand beaches, lined with swaying palm trees and sparkling water - these 3 things symbolize Goa. India's smallest state attracts 2 million tourists annually, thus making it the hotbed of the hospitality industry and also one of India's richest states. Goa is home to the only casino in India and has a vibrancy that no other destination in India can match. Activities like deep sea diving, snorkeling and other watersports make Goa an exciting and fun-filled destination.


IIAS Goa is located close to the renowned Dona Paula Pier. The capital city of Panjim is a short drive away and the beaches and night-life are all nearby.

 

How to Reach Goa

 

BY AIR:

Goa is a short 45min flight away from Mumbai. The Dabolim International Airport of Goa has daily flights to Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Delhi and other major cities of India and Middle-Eastern countries.

 

BY RAIL:

The Konkan Railway, starting at Mumbai and ending at Mangalore connects Goa and the neighboring cities. The main stations in Goa are Thivim (near Porvorim), Kamali (near Miramar) or at Margao.

 

BY ROAD:

Mumbai to Goa (NH-17), Goa to Belgaum (NH-4A) are the two major highways that intersect Goa. Buses to Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Mangalore and other nearby cities depart daily from Panaji or Margao.

 

IIAS School of Management - Siliguri, affiliated to WBUT (West Bengal Universtiy of Technology) is located in Darjeeling Dt at the foothills of the sprawling Eastern Himalayan Mountain range, landscaped by lush green tea gardens of the Dooars. Strategically located, SIliguri is the gateway to Darjeeling (known as the Queen of Hills), Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and North East India.


Siliguri is a cosmopolitan city with a large Indian as well as international student population from countries like Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Singapore etc. IIAS campus is located close to various recreational facilities like Savin Kingdom - the biggest amusement park in North East India, shopping malls like City Centre and CINEMAX multiplex theatres. Students can also go for treks or forest safaris in the nearby wildlife sanctuaries, within an hour or two's drive away.

 

How to Reach Siliguri

 

BY AIR:

Bagdogra International airport, only 12kms from IIAS campus is well connected with major Indian cities and neighboring countries.

 

BY RAIL:

New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, located 10kms away from IIAS campus connects Siliguri to all major Indian cities by trains at regular intervals every day.

 

BY ROAD:

Siliguri is connected by national highway NH-34 which becomes NH-31 from Dalkhola onwards and by NH-55A to Darjeeling. Regular bus service connects Siliguri to Kolkata, Bhutan, Assam and other North east states.
