Global Cuisines! Yes, you read that correctly. On November 26, at Savin Kingdom, the IIAS School of Management held a food festival – “inFuZION 2022” – to celebrate international cuisines, from 7 pm to 10 pm. We have been organising culinary festivals for a long time to provide our students hands-on experience in their respective fields and to instill the spirit of teamwork.
There were more than 65 dishes from 5 different cuisines – Lebanese, Mexican, French, Oriental and Indian. The cuisines offered were represented by separate stalls that were set up. “Yin & Yang” (Oriental), “Queso y carne” (Mexican), “DastarKhwan” (Indian), “à la française” (French), and “Ouf shu taybe” (Lebanese) were the names of the stalls. Beverage, soup, salad, and dessert counters were separate ones. There was a variety of options for appetisers, main courses, and accomplishments at each independent culinary station. The foods on the extensive menu were made and served by the students themselves. The students also dressed up traditionally for the Asian and Indian counters to add to the theme and visual appeal.
A cultural programme was presented to entertain the visitors. The students displayed their talents; and there was a live band, “WAVELENGTH”, to spice up the entertainment quotient. More than 200+ guests came to enjoy the gourmet fest. Overall, everyone had a great time, and the successful’ conduct of the event was a major success for our students.
