Assistant Professor - School of Business and Informatics
Rahul is versatile educator and learner who believes in eclectic teaching methods. At IIAS, he is tasked to develop the English and Communication Skills of the students. Alongside, he is the coordinator for the events/clubs at IIAS. Rahul has studied journalism, literature and is currently pursuing a PhD from the Department of Sociology, Presidency University, Kolkata. He cleared UGC NET in English while pursuing his post-graduation in 2022. He is a part-time musician and vinyl collector and has worked for magazines as well as music festivals. He loves to read and his favourite writer of all time in E.M. Cioran.

– Presented a paper titled ‘Manto in Exile: An Existential Study’ at the International Seminar on “Angarey and the Progressive Writers’ Movement” hosted by Avadh Girls Degree College, Lucknow in association with Indian Association of Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies (IACLALS). 16-17 December, 2022.
– Presented a paper titled ‘Impossibility of Subcultures: The Perils of Adolescence’ at the One-Day Seminar on Discourses on Youth: A Sociological Enquiry organised by the Department of Sociology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. 02 April, 2024.
