Dr. Joaquim Dias Soeiro
Originated from Paris, France, Joaquim moved in his early year to the South West of France. Located in Cahors, historical and typical gastronomic area, he has grown in the middle of vineyards and luxurious food products such as foie gras and black truffles. With a background in hospitality and culinary arts, he has learnt and experienced the fundamentals in French gastronomy including wine and other types of beverages.
Joaquim experienced various types of establishments from renowned 5 stars hotel to Michelin stars restaurants: Le Sebastopol (1 Michelin star, Lille), Les Jardins de l’Opéra (1 Michelin star, Toulouse), L’Hermitage Gantois (5 stars hotel, Lille), Le Plaza Athénée (5 stars hotel, Paris). Restaurant operation, restaurant management, bartending, sommellerie and kitchen are all the fields in which he went through during his 8 years of studies. Throughout his functions within the industry, Mr. Joaquim Dias Soeiro has developed a great passion for gastronomy and wines.
He is a trained bartender in the Hotel du Palais, a 4-star hotel in Biarritz, in the South West of France; and a trained sommelier in Le Carré des Feuillants, a 2-star Michelin restaurant in Paris. With 14 years of training and working experiences in hospitality industry and education, Mr Joaquim, also a Certified Hotel Educator is a graduate of the Court of Master Sommelier.
